The Saviour-Eater cannot watch anyone go without melon. They cut, they serve, they wipe the counter, and they quietly take the end piece that is mostly rind, because someone has to. By the time they sit down their hands are sticky to the wrist and the good slices are gone. Like the rest of the Green family, they deal with the rind so nobody else has to.
